Broadcast News Anchor

Newsradio 98.5FM and AM 560, WGAN, Southern Maines heralded legacy voice for news and talk, is seeking a broadcast newscaster Saturday and Sundays from 5am-10am.

Responsibilities include researching local community, state, national and current events.

Organize the news to present the most interesting pieces first

Revise scripts and prepare to deliver them on-air

Ensure late-breaking news is added to newscasts

Produce weather forecasts and helping to ensure the smooth overall operation of our stations outside normal business hours.

You will also be responsible for quickly troubleshooting any minor technical issues with our eight-station cluster of leading stations.

You'll work in outstanding facilities alongside a prideful, professional team of co-workers who still prioritize local news. Familiarity with Burli News and iMediaTouch Radio Automation Systems is preferred.
